New Unseen Photos of Marilyn Monroe Up for Auction

Marilyn Monroe 1954With today marking the 51st anniversary of Marilyn Monroe’s tragic death, a new set of rare photos of the iconic actress are now available for sale through Heritage Auctions.

The photos of the blonde bombshell were taken during her 1954 trip to Korea, where she met with and entertained troops stationed there following the war. There are thirteen glossy photos of Monroe currently up for grabs that were taken by a professional military photographer who followed her around on her trip.

The photos show Monroe in various outfits, including a military uniform and combat boots, a sparkling dress she wore while singing on stage, and the houndstooth dress she wore in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953).

All the photo are up for auction via the internet through Heritage Auctions’ site and will be available online until August 9th.
