Let’s say that bead bracelets have magical, enchanted, or otherwise abnormal qualities outside of our world. What if they can be used in the fictional worlds reflected in movies? With several charms being used on each brace, it shouldn’t be that hard to implement them in certain films, especially those with an air of fantasy about them. These are just a couple of examples where I can see the bracelets best being used in the area of movies.
One of the principal movies I could see bead bracelets being widely used in movies is in the “Harry Potter” series. There are quite a few films in the series, to say the least, but let’s adhere with the first half since those are the ones where the most in-class and school-related interaction occurs. Points are awarded to students and which of the four “houses” they are sorted into. Why not have a bead magically added into Gryffindor or Slytherin bead bracelets whenever a regular interval of points is earned?
The bracelets could signal for quite a few things when it comes to make-believe movies. Yes, point earnings can be one of these triggers but it doesn’t have to be limited to that. A movie writer can also use the bracelets to call for additions to powers. Going back to “Harry Potter,” students perform spells and they must be done effectively to make sure all of the points are achieved. Perhaps having addition beads to help amplify spells could be added to the movie as well.
A more recent example of movies that can use bead bracelets is “The Hunger Games.” Within the area that the 24 tributes face off to the death against one another, they are able to figure out who dies based on a cannon sounding. That’s fine but there’s a good potential that such a cannon sound could alert the other tributes to other areas. For a more unobtrusive method of tracking deaths, each tribute should be bead bracelets to wear. Whenever a tribute falls, a bead falls from the band to symbolize the event.
Bead bracelets could be used in movies and with so many examples of fantasy movies to utilize, it’s a shame that films don’t take the risk. The ones that I have listed here are only a few of the many examples you could think, off of the top of your head. Any movie could possibly be used and, in the hands of a great writer, made plausible. I am simply of the opinion that fantasy movies work best with these kinds of bracelets.
