Visiting the World’s Most Expensive Cities

If you’ll be visiting London soon, you’ll encounter plenty of high prices surrounding the Olympic venues. But a few miles away, an important museum charges no admission fee.

In addition to the National Maritime Museum, visits to the Astronomy Centre at The Royal Observatory are still free, but an admission fee has been reinstated for the Meridian Courtyard. It’s still a great value. You can have an enjoyable afternoon for little more than the price of an inexpensive train ticket.

Expensive cities such as London offer these outstanding opportunities at little or no charge. You just need to know where to find them. Consider low-cost travel in 12 world cities that generally land on the “most expensive” lists.
