That’s despite Harry Kane, Harry Winks and Dele Alli withdrawing from the England squad and injuries keeping Hugo Lloris (France) and Victor Wanyama (Kenya) out of action.
Arsenal’s travelling contingent totalled only 17,272 miles, with Alexis Sanchez and Sead Kolasinac missing out on international duties after Chile and Bosnia-Herzegovina failed to qualify for next year’s World Cup in Russia.
Olivier Giroud joined France team-mates Alexandre Lacazette and Laurent Koscielny, in addition to Spurs’ Moussa Sissoko, against Wales last week but missed the trip to Germany after suffering a thigh strain in Paris.
Spurs centre-back Davinson Sanchez travelled more than any player from either club with Colombia, flying 5,521 miles to face team-mate Heung-Min Son’s South Korea, before taking a 1,298-mile onward journey to China.
Eric Dier, Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose represented England against Germany and Brazil at Tottenham’s home stadium Wembley, meaning the trio did not travel at all.
For Arsenal, Mohamed Elneny travelled the furthest with Egypt, completing a 6,211-mile round-trip to Ghana, while Alex Iwobi clocked 3,665 miles with Nigeria after facing Argentina in Russia.
Will Arsenal capitalise on potential fatigue to claim their first league victory over Spurs since 2014 and move within one point of their north London neighbours?
