Daniel Jacobs takes on fast-talking unbeaten contender Luis Arias in New York as he looks to edge closer to a rematch with Gennady Golovkin.
‘Miracle Man’ Jacobs (32-2-KO29) will be fighting for the first time under new promoter Eddie Hearn and the talented American has vowed to put on a show in front of a buoyant home crowd.
The 30-year-old narrowly and somewhat controversially lost out to fearsome pound-for-pound star Gennady Golovkin back in March and the New Yorker is intent on regaining world honours.
Twenty-seven-year-old Arias is no pushover though and the confident Milwaukee middleweight looked very impressive and powerful in beating Arif Magomedov last time out. Arias (18-0-KO9) has been patiently waiting for his chance and now ‘Cuba’ has it.
