Lionel Messi has signed a new four-year contract with Barcelona.
The Argentine superstar has been with Barcelona since 2000 when he joined as a 13-year-old and made his debut in the first team at the age of 16.
The 30-year-old’s new contract has a £626 million buy-out clause and will see him at Barcelona until the end of the 2020/21 season.
In his time at the Nou Camp, Messi has helped Barcelona win eight La Liga titles, four Champions League titles and five Copa del Rey titles.
The number 10 has scored over 600 goals for club and country and has been awarded the Ballon d’Or five times, more than any other player.
