The story so far…

England made a laboured start to their autumn series as they beat Argentina 21-8 with Nathan Hughes and Semesa Rokoduguni scoring their only tries of the match.

Fans were hoping for England to cut loose against a tired Pumas side but there were far too many mistakes as England looked rusty. Eddie Jones was far from happy with the performance, however, Hughes and Mako Vunipola stood out with their strong carries while Sam Underhill’s defence also caught the eye.

Next up for England was Australia in what turned out to be a rather controversial game. A late flurry saw England run out 30-6 winners but the scoreline did not reflect the game. Two yellow cards, two tries disallowed and some touch-line drama certainly kept the TMO busy.

Joe Launchbury, Courtney Lawes and Maro Itoje took the battle to the Wallabies with Launchbury deservedly getting the man of the match award.

Next up for England is Samoa and you can watch all the action on Sky Sports main Event and Sky Sports Action, from 2.30pm on Saturday.

And don’t forget to return after the final whistle to vote for your Player of the Series.
