Users around the world are reporting that the messenger WhatsApp is suffering service issues.
Panic has broken out after WhatsApp instant messaging service, used by more than 1 billion people on daily basis, has apparantly suffered failures in different parts of the world. According to the website DownDetector, WhatsApp messenger has been experiencing outages since about 3:10 EDT. According to users, the messenger functions as if the phone is not connected to the Internet.
Problems with the messenger are being experienced by users from Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, the United States and other countries.
Failures occurred throughout the day.
WhatsApp messenger was also unavailable in some regions of the world in May. Later, the messenger reported that it had fixed a malfunction which caused users to have difficulty accessing the service.
